Field Service Technicians work on wellsites and in shop environments to install, maintain & repair traditional wellhead and frac equipment including multibowl and conventional wellhead systems, API 6A gate valves, chokes, casing, tubing heads, spools and more. Job Duties:
- Install and test equipment in accordance with operating procedures
- Repair customer property and rental assets including valves, wellheads, spools, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment as required
- Assemble and break down new and used equipment
- Provide feedback to the Company through reporting of problems and failures to appropriate personnel for resolution
- Prepare service order, tickets, and customer related documentation accurately and completely
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by providing timely and knowledgeable service
- General shop maintenance: storage and equipment clean-up
- Tear down/troubleshoot customer-owned property for inspection, repair reassembly and testing
- Assemble, test and paint new or used wellhead/tree sections
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of wellhead and valve installation, operation, maintenance and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot field equipment and products
- Ability to reason and problem solve
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (May substitute two years of related experience and/or training)
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience
Preferred
- Ability to operate PBMO and Full Hydraulic Lubricators a plus
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach, talk and hear
- Must be able to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools up to 30 pounds
- Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noises
- Work in outdoor conditions such as heat/cold/wet and be exposed to dust/fumes/other airborne particles/loud noises
