Field Service Technician Jobs

Field Service Technicians work on wellsites and in shop environments to install, maintain & repair traditional wellhead and frac equipment including multibowl and conventional wellhead systems, API 6A gate valves, chokes, casing, tubing heads, spools and more.   Williston, ND (Rotation: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off; Apartments provided)
 Oklahoma City, OK  (Schedule: 25 days on / 5 days off)
  Casper, WY

Job Duties:

  • Install and test equipment in accordance with operating procedures
  • Repair customer property and rental assets including valves, wellheads, spools, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment as required
  • Assemble and break down new and used equipment
  • Provide feedback to the Company through reporting of problems and failures to appropriate personnel for resolution
  • Prepare service order, tickets, and customer related documentation accurately and completely
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by providing timely and knowledgeable service
  • General shop maintenance: storage and equipment clean-up
  • Tear down/troubleshoot customer-owned property for inspection, repair reassembly and testing
  • Assemble, test and paint new or used wellhead/tree sections

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of wellhead and valve installation, operation, maintenance and repair
  • Ability to troubleshoot field equipment and products
  • Ability to reason and problem solve

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (May substitute two years of related experience and/or training)
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant experience

Preferred

  • Ability to operate PBMO and Full Hydraulic Lubricators a plus

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach, talk and hear
  • Must be able to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noises
  • Work in outdoor conditions such as heat/cold/wet and be exposed to dust/fumes/other airborne particles/loud noises
